I am a research fellow in public health based in the DECIPHer Research Centre at Cardiff University (though everything you read here is my personal view).  I'm interested in how parents, parenting and families can help young people lead healthy lives, and avoid problems like alcohol misuse.  Click here to see my publications.  My research looks at:

• how family relationships can promote young people's wellbeing
• the effectiveness of alcohol/drug misuse prevention programmes, particularly family and parenting based interventions
• alcohol and drug prevention programmes in schools
